Who could this be
with a Selah in her serene surroundings?
She loves peace as she gets
Closer to her dreams.
Unphased by the storm clouds of today
because she has felt the rain once before
It washed the wounds from her back,
mixing the blood with tears
into a divine elixir
used to cure future female fetuses.
It is the life-blood of woman
mixed with God and sorrow
that makes us strong against our unexpected tomorrow.
Who is this that has the Selah in her serene surroundings?
She believes in the comfort of the Divine God
drawn tightly around her,
the only Love she could stand upon.
He gave her the Selah
and because she trusts
she can hold it gently
not afraid to share some with the rest of the world
Because her victorious spirit
has started to grow her own
Garden of Selah,
where the roots have been watered by her tears
[which she did not know were laced with the Holy and
the richness of Rhema,
providing rest and recovery to her soul.]
So her harvest was well fed.
She sows Selah
and humbles herself upon the earth
before God, her Father
that has pulled back the clouds to show her
that everythang gonna be al-right
'I love you my child, my daughter, and I always will.'
She sows Selah.
Who is this with a Selah in her serene surroundings?
It is her, as always.
She has always been.
And will be.
She sows Selah and she is
me.
If I rise on the wings of the Dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast. -Psalm 139:9-10

The People's Victory
I love her.
I love her because she was made tenderly to be a winner
fashioned for the fight
Ruling her domain because,
She was just born that way.
I love her.
I love the way she smiles from her soul
and shines God's majesty through her eyes.
I love the way depravity pains her
Because her heart is truly pure.
I love her.
I love her love and the Selah in her Spirit.
I love her brown
She grew her own crown; no one gave it to her
Her namesake: Nicole.
And she is the people's Victory.
Victory of the People.
I love her.
I love her because she was made tenderly to be a winner
fashioned for the fight
Ruling her domain because,

I love her.

There's A New Day Comin...
"There's a new day comin
Everythang gon be turnin ovah
Everythang gon be turnin ovah
Where you gon be standin when it comes?"
-Spiritual
Aurora. There is truly a new day coming and one must ask, where will you be standing when it comes? In between earth and spirit? Or will you have already made it into your realm of spiritual truth?
Aurora. Dawn is near. Evening doesn't last as long as we think it might. The darkness will cease sooner than we believe. Are you prepared for what it will look like on the other side?
Aurora. Luminous atmospheric phenomenon. These auroras come every morning in the spirit whether you are at the mountain top or in the valley. They take place at the polar opposites of the world, just as in the spirit. North and South. Mountain and Valley. Joy and Pain.
Aurora. Caused by the Sun meeting the earth in an exchange of magnetic energy. So when the Sun shines on you, there is aurora. There is dawn. There is a new day.
Where you gon be standin when it comes?
Rising to Aurora,
Zarina Dawn.
Everythang gon be turnin ovah
Everythang gon be turnin ovah
Where you gon be standin when it comes?"

This, too, shall pass...
COURAGE.
In many instances this word scares me and most others in my disposition. Not in fear of the praise we give those that are courageous, but because it silently implicates an obstacle. An obstacle that will take great effort in overcoming. The idea of courage requires a hardship that one must face and without this struggle, the word courage has no semantic meaning. This is what induces fear: the idea of the obstacle, the idea that it could be insurmountable, the impending doom that hovers like the grey clouds before a storm. This is what intimidates and consumes our attention, causing great anxiety about the coming storm i.e., the required obstacle to overcome. And somewhere... While the clouds are shifting into place in the darkening skies, and the trees are rustling at the tip of this storm, you try your hardest to reach deep down inside of you, past the coming storm, past the tsunami's and tornadoes of your past, and find that very small penlight that will allow you to have something to hold on to. You hold on to this small light for dear life as the anxiety of this storm works to overwhelm you and then... There is a shining light in the mind (understanding) and in the spirit (peace, truth) because you've found something so slight to believe in. This, is faith manifest. This, is courage.
A lion-hearted woman she is. Though she does not always know and understand it. She holds on to the smallest amount of light possible to squelch her anxieties and she walks out on the other side with lessons and battle wounds that she should wear as badges, but her mind does not quite understand their value. So she wonders why everyone else can see the light in her that she continuously holds on to... She somehow wonders why they would don her courageous?
There are many others like her. With so much light emanating from their spirit that everyone in the world can see, except them. She is the embodiment of courage. She rides the tremors of the earthquake until they subside, she endures the fierce rain until the Sun shines again, she bears the desert heat, only to feel the cool upon her forehead another day. She stands and holds desperately to the light and always finds herself at the end of the storm. COURAGE is finding and holding to the light, enduring the obstacle, and she has seen the end of many storms. She is truly courageous.
So lift up thine eyes young girl, and reach out and grab your light. Hold on for dear life and never let go. This is courage. Her lion heart has not failed her and nor shall yours. There will always be struggle but light will always shine again.
Writing is like a double-edged sword. Sometimes threateningly truthful... other times frightfully enlightening. Looking back at the 3 Suns and 3 Moons that graced my life, there is new light shed on that passage that I never would have imagined would hold a deeper truth today. Who would have known that the words written that day would foreshadow the necessity of their meaning today? Struggle will come and it does not always announce its arrival. So when it sneaks up on you and pulls at your heart strings, just hold on. This, too, shall pass.
It is true that for many aimless and slippery days, we strain our eyes in darkness searching for a truth we feel is evading us. We are angry, hurt and bitter from frustration. But as written on that foretelling Sunday, the light will always come and blur your vision in adjustment from darkness, to illuminate all that is true and all that you were ever searching for. This is the cycle of life and we will experience this enlightenment countless times. Life is a wave; spreading across all facets of the mind. We cannot predict the tide. The waves might be pulled in to crash violently against the rocks and other times the waters might flow gracefully, allowing for a tranquility unparalleled.
So as was written on that blessed Sunday, let go. God hides nothing. He shines his light on what is to be seen at the appropriate time. So do not let those 3 Suns and 3 Moons shine in vain. Love them. Enjoy them. Bask in them. And when one of those days features a storm, hold on to that light, and be courageous like that lion-hearted woman.
Courageously,
ZarinaDawn.

1 Day
What is the significance of 1 day? Between the peeking purple of the sunrise and the glowing orange of the sunset? What lies between these bookends of time?
Could it be possibility? Love? Knowledge? Change? Opportunity? Joy?
It could be the joy of a great meal or the warmth of a loving hug. It could be the smile of a stranger or a jar of honey. Life can be made up of so many splendid things... So that makes each day 1 piece, 1 powerful spark that could light the flame of life, 1 small speck in time that is as strong and as necessary as the atom.
1 Day... What lies between those pages for you?
ZarinaDawn.

Three Suns, Three Moons
Days go by so quickly at times. One minute the darkness of night engulfs you, making your eyes wander around searching the dark crevices for unrelinquished gifts. Then before you know it, the light of day makes your eyes adjust, causing you to see things less clearly at first, but then offering comfort and illumination to all that you were searching for.
And all this time goes by... and you stand with no real awareness that the sun has shown its face three times over... and all the while you have been standing in the same spot, feet planted, searching dark corners for what can only be revealed by the light... Three days have gone by, a sunrise each day and a sunset each night. The solar system has engaged you, called you out to play, and entertained you with its changes. And in that time, you are just... standing... searching... looking... staring blindly. At the end of this cycle, your spirit is shocked into recognition that the sun has risen yet again. How could you have missed it? The surprise engulfs your senses, but the days cannot be re-lived.
So what does this mean? To see three suns and three moons and not notice? To experience God's only beloved night and day and be as stoic as the mountains?
It means that life could be passing you by. It means that you are searching for what is right before your eyes, night and day. God hides nothing, but will allow light to shine when it is time and darkness to fall in its season. So instead of straining the eyes to see what God has given, take the time to look away and trust. Look away and embrace God's glory. Do not let three suns and three moons pass you by and not notice their splendor. They are too precious to God and to us. And the time and space they embody cannot be replaced or recalled.
So open the eyes to see them and open the spirit to receive them.
Golden-Hearted,
ZarinaDawn.

Re-Birth
The birth of Zarina Dawn reflects the journey of one young woman's spirit. It is evidence that God is real. It is confirmation that life has purpose and direction in spiritual realms that only those with the third eye could comprehend.
To those that have read... those that have internalized this woman's spiritual sharings... Bless You. Bless your 'third eyes' that they would forever be open and wise. Bless them that they become in line with the Creator, providing discernment and direction for your life. Allow your life to become an example for others to look to as a beacon of hope, if nothing else. There are things that an individual could never promise to fulfill... but if nothing else, provide hope for those that are lost.
The birth of this woman almost four months ago is a reflection of hope. The spirit sodden pillows have provided a nest for the re-birth of the mind. Finally that aurora has started to shine through and for all those that have bore witness to this log of expression... know now that life can truly be golden. The fire has subsided and the gold gleams in this woman. The sun rays of this aurora have warmed the coldness that her heart harbored for so long. The wind has appropriately brought all things full circle and she can now breathe with ease. The pressure upon her chest has been soothed like a cool prayer upon the forehead. The Lord has smiled on her for enduring such fire and has not allowed a burn to trace her carnal body. The storm that had engrossed her life has taken a back seat to joyous remembrances and experiences of each new day. Every morning becomes a discovery when God allows a new dawn to reflect the fertility of your own life.
He smiles... And she knows that He smiles upon her. The sun shines splendidly each morning and her spirit rejoices because He has allowed her to be golden. I offer praises for this woman; for her testimony and for the greatness of God. So be encouraged and enlivened by... Zarina Dawn.
