There's A New Day Comin...

"There's a new day comin
Everythang gon be turnin ovah
Everythang gon be turnin ovah
Where you gon be standin when it comes?"

-Spiritual

Aurora. There is truly a new day coming and one must ask, where will you be standing when it comes? In between earth and spirit? Or will you have already made it into your realm of spiritual truth?

Aurora. Dawn is near. Evening doesn't last as long as we think it might. The darkness will cease sooner than we believe. Are you prepared for what it will look like on the other side?

Aurora. Luminous atmospheric phenomenon. These auroras come every morning in the spirit whether you are at the mountain top or in the valley. They take place at the polar opposites of the world, just as in the spirit. North and South. Mountain and Valley. Joy and Pain.

Aurora. Caused by the Sun meeting the earth in an exchange of magnetic energy. So when the Sun shines on you, there is aurora. There is dawn. There is a new day.

Where you gon be standin when it comes?

Rising to Aurora,
Zarina Dawn.

This, too, shall pass...

COURAGE.

In many instances this word scares me and most others in my disposition. Not in fear of the praise we give those that are courageous, but because it silently implicates an obstacle. An obstacle that will take great effort in overcoming. The idea of courage requires a hardship that one must face and without this struggle, the word courage has no semantic meaning. This is what induces fear: the idea of the obstacle, the idea that it could be insurmountable, the impending doom that hovers like the grey clouds before a storm. This is what intimidates and consumes our attention, causing great anxiety about the coming storm i.e., the required obstacle to overcome. And somewhere... While the clouds are shifting into place in the darkening skies, and the trees are rustling at the tip of this storm, you try your hardest to reach deep down inside of you, past the coming storm, past the tsunami's and tornadoes of your past, and find that very small penlight that will allow you to have something to hold on to. You hold on to this small light for dear life as the anxiety of this storm works to overwhelm you and then... There is a shining light in the mind (understanding) and in the spirit (peace, truth) because you've found something so slight to believe in. This, is faith manifest. This, is courage.

A lion-hearted woman she is. Though she does not always know and understand it. She holds on to the smallest amount of light possible to squelch her anxieties and she walks out on the other side with lessons and battle wounds that she should wear as badges, but her mind does not quite understand their value. So she wonders why everyone else can see the light in her that she continuously holds on to... She somehow wonders why they would don her courageous?

There are many others like her. With so much light emanating from their spirit that everyone in the world can see, except them. She is the embodiment of courage. She rides the tremors of the earthquake until they subside, she endures the fierce rain until the Sun shines again, she bears the desert heat, only to feel the cool upon her forehead another day. She stands and holds desperately to the light and always finds herself at the end of the storm. COURAGE is finding and holding to the light, enduring the obstacle, and she has seen the end of many storms. She is truly courageous.

So lift up thine eyes young girl, and reach out and grab your light. Hold on for dear life and never let go. This is courage. Her lion heart has not failed her and nor shall yours. There will always be struggle but light will always shine again.

Writing is like a double-edged sword. Sometimes threateningly truthful... other times frightfully enlightening. Looking back at the 3 Suns and 3 Moons that graced my life, there is new light shed on that passage that I never would have imagined would hold a deeper truth today. Who would have known that the words written that day would foreshadow the necessity of their meaning today? Struggle will come and it does not always announce its arrival. So when it sneaks up on you and pulls at your heart strings, just hold on. This, too, shall pass.

It is true that for many aimless and slippery days, we strain our eyes in darkness searching for a truth we feel is evading us. We are angry, hurt and bitter from frustration. But as written on that foretelling Sunday, the light will always come and blur your vision in adjustment from darkness, to illuminate all that is true and all that you were ever searching for. This is the cycle of life and we will experience this enlightenment countless times. Life is a wave; spreading across all facets of the mind. We cannot predict the tide. The waves might be pulled in to crash violently against the rocks and other times the waters might flow gracefully, allowing for a tranquility unparalleled.

So as was written on that blessed Sunday, let go. God hides nothing. He shines his light on what is to be seen at the appropriate time. So do not let those 3 Suns and 3 Moons shine in vain. Love them. Enjoy them. Bask in them. And when one of those days features a storm, hold on to that light, and be courageous like that lion-hearted woman.

Courageously,
ZarinaDawn.
